The Commission conducts solid waste investigations in response to complaints. Transfer Stations, Class A and Class B recycling facilities are annually inspected. Violations of solid waste are cited by the Commission; significant matters are referred to the NJDEP. The Hudson County Improvement Authority continued to enforce solid waste regulations as agents of the Commission. The Authority’s activities have primarily revolved around waste flow issues and the enforcement of the district solid waste management plan. |
